About David Rosado

David is responsible for guiding the programmatic direction and long-term vision for Candid's two formal partner networks: the Funding Information Network and CF Insights. 

Since 2008, David has brought a focus to detail and drive for results to his evolving partnership with the community foundation field at Candid. From 2008-2015, David recruited community foundation Electronic Grant Reporters, managed the organization's pipeline of community foundation-provided grants data, and indexed hundreds of thousands of grant and recipient records for publication across the organization's suite of data products. As Member Services Manager for CF Insights from 2015-2018, David helped establish Foundation Center, now Candid, as the program's new home following its acquisition from FSG, ensuring a seamless transition for a membership expecting high quality, high touch service and clear, actionable takeaways derived from peer data to help improve organizational practice. As Director of CF Insights from 2019-2021, David took ownership of the program's overall direction, executing a complete modernization of the CF Insights website and online data platform, and charting a long-term roadmap to further solidify its status as an essential service to the field by developing a five-year strategic plan. 

David holds a B.S. in Psychology, with a minor in Marketing, from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York. 

About Simeon Banister

At Rochester Area Community Foundation, Simeon Banister is responsible for managing the Community Programs Department, which is responsible for the Foundation’s grant-making and community leadership. He is a former member Rush-Henrietta Board of Education. Additionally, he serves as a President of the Greater Rochester Martin Luther King Jr. Commission and also serves on the boards of the Congressional Award Foundation, the Hillside Children’s Foundation, The Children’s Agenda, and the Genesee Land Trust. His career spans across the public and private sectors having worked for organizations including in the NYS Senate, the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance, the State University of New York, and several private commercial real estate firms. Simeon earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science at North Carolina Central University and his Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary.

About Sarah Hench Grunewald

As vice president for community impact at the Delaware Community Foundation, Grunewald leads the DCF’s community engagement work, including overseeing grantmaking and scholarship programs, facilitating public-private partnerships throughout the state, and driving the foundation’s leadership activities to strengthen the DCF’s community impact and service to donors.

A native Delawarean, Grunewald most recently served as deputy executive director of the PIE (Policy Innovators in Education) Network, supporting a national network of state-level education advocacy organizations to maximize their impact.

About Deborah A. Ellwood

Deborah believes that community foundations are uniquely positioned to be vital partners in building strong communities and is passionate about helping the field be all it can be. As President and CEO of CFLeads, she guides the strategic direction of the organization and builds alliances that help community foundations deepen their impact.
Since Deborah joined the organization in December of 2009, she and the CFLeads team have developed and refined highly successful and popular learning opportunities, uncovered and promoted important community leadership practices, and substantially increased the number of organizations that engage with and invest in CFLeads.
Deborah has a broad background as an advocate, policy analyst, grantmaker, fundraiser and community builder. She served as both a board and staff leader during 10 years with Rochester Area Community Foundation (Rochester, NY), setting strategies that led to greater partnerships, more focused grantmaking and deeper community impact.
