About Anne Goodman

Anne Goodman has spent thirty years in the non-profit field, including fifteen as the CEO of the Greater Cleveland Food Bank leading 2 mergers, two capital campaigns and a prolonged period of extraordinary growth. Following that, she spent another six years as the CEO of The Saint Luke’s Foundation where she oversaw the distribution of $12M annually and the creation and implementation of a strategic mission shift and the accompanying organizational challenges and opportunities. She also knows non-profits from a board perspective, having served on several boards over the years.

Anne launched a consulting practice in 2020 because of a strong desire to build the capacity of nonprofit organizations.  Her professional experience gave her a bird’s eye view of the myriad challenges facing organizations, large and small, and she learned much from their successes and challenges. She helps organizations become more sustainable with enhanced operational capacity in service of their mission achievement.

Since launching her practice, Anne has worked with a wide range of organizations, among them are The Cleveland Foundation, the Tri-C Community College Foundation, The Greater Cleveland Food Bank, and the LGBT Community Center. In addition, Anne has served as an adjunct professor at the John Carroll Graduate School of Nonprofit Administration.

Anne’s skills and accomplishments have won recognition by Smart Business, Case Western Reserve University, John Carroll University, The Jewish Community Federation and Northern Ohio Live among others. She was the regional Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2014, Nonprofit Executive of the Year in 2016 and named a Woman of Note by Crain’s Cleveland Business in 2017.

Anne holds a master's degree in nonprofit administration from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire

About Staci Lowell

With over fifteen years' experience as an information professional, ten of which have been in the nonprofit sector, Staci Lowell has seen data transform how the world does business. Her company Giving Insight, LLC assists organizations in maximizing the use of their information resources to strengthen their donor base and improve fundraising outcomes.

Staci Lowell has a JD from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University and a BA in Political Science from Taylor University. Her previous work experience includes time at two of Cleveland's largest nonprofits; Hospice of the Western Reserve and Cleveland State University, where she held positions in prospect research and database management.

About Kalyani Sapkal, MNAL, MBA, B.E.

Kalyani is a fund development consultant and the founder and principal of Kalyani Consulting. Through her consulting firm, she collaborates with organizations focused on addressing social justice issues in the food and water sectors, particularly those in their early growth phase or mid-sized. Her firm helps these organizations identify potential revenue streams, establish a steady base of funders, introduce best practices for grant management and planning, develop processes, and utilize tools, so her clients can attract larger grants. Kalyani has generated over $1.5 million for nonprofit organizations, and during her time at a venture capital firm, she secured $170 million for various sectors. With over twelve years of diverse experience, Kalyani has worked across sectors such as food and nutrition, water access, humanitarian work, mental health, economic development, the environment, and more. She is a board member at the Cuyahoga Valley Farmers Market and has worked with organizations like Milestones Autism Resources, Drink Local Drink Tap, Victory Gallop, Lawrence Technological University, Women's Recovery Center, and more.

About David Holmes (he/him)

Dave Holmes is an Educational Programming Manager at Candid, coordinating national trainings and the training and educational programming for the Midwest region. He returned to the Foundation Center (now Candid) in 2015 from a position as Senior Consultant at Grants Plus, writing grants and doing research for a variety of large and small nonprofit clients. In his initial nine-year tenure with Foundation Center, Dave served in various roles including Regional Training Specialist, Interim Director of Foundation Center – Cleveland, and Director of Capacity and Leadership Development.

Earlier in his career, Dave served as a Program Officer for the Stocker Foundation in Lorain, Ohio, and as the Director of Grants and Prospect Research at Notre Dame College in South Euclid, Ohio. He has served on numerous local boards, including the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Greater Cleveland Chapter;  Joel's Place for Children; and Upcycle Parts Shop. He holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh, an MA from Villanova University, and an MLIS from Kent State University.
