About
Presented in collaboration with the Participatory Grantmakers Community.
Join the Participatory Grantmaking Community for our first USA face to face gathering!
Anyone who is interested in Participatory Grantmaking is welcome. The PGM Community is built on relationships, growth, challenge, and connection and we will be centering this through the event. To that end, we would love to engage with community decision makers, communities and individuals who have benefitted from participatory funding, as well as funders already doing or interested in participatory grantmaking.
There will be no set agenda. This will be an opportunity to come together, build connections, ask questions, and engage in conversations that we hope will help you build your networks and improve the work we are all doing to shift power to communities. Expect joy, laughter, learning, connection and community!
Participatory Grantmakers Community member hosts:
- Chris Cardona, Ford Foundation
- Sarina Dayal, Candid
- Hannah Paterson, National Lottery Fund
- Ben Wrobel, Village Capital
About the space:
The venue is the Library at Candid’s NYC office, located at 32 Old Slip. If you have any access requirements, please reach out to us ([email protected]), and we will do our best to accommodate. The venue is wheelchair accessible. Upon entering the building, you will be required to present photo identification to obtain a visitor pass at the Visitor Services Desk before proceeding to our space on the 24th floor via elevator. The Visitor Services Desk is located at the south entrance of the building. Valid forms of identification include a driver's license, passport, military ID, or similar form of photo identification.
We are aware that COVID is an ongoing issue. We’ll be gathered in a spacious room, capping the number of attendees, and encourage all to take precautions that feel comfortable to you.
At this time, we require proof of COVID vaccination for those attending any rental convenings or participating in Candid events. Please see this page for more information about visiting our office.
