About Ivonne Simms (she/her)

Ivonne has over 20 years of comprehensive experience developing strong programs and relationships to expand educational access to historically underserved communities. In addition, she has a talent for teaching that has translated successfully from middle school math, to adult GED classes, to freshman seminar at a community college.

After relocating to Atlanta, Ivonne took a role with a non-profit that really allowed her to grow and flourish. As regional manager she was the face and voice in the Southeast, setting the tone for their work with over 30 independent schools, numerous partner organizations, and over 500 families annually. She relished in supporting students and their families through their educational journey, and the organization enjoyed tremendous growth under her leadership. Ivonne is excited to use her natural gift for connecting with people to train nonprofit leaders with Candid. She is particularly interested in creating equitable practices that will help under resourced organizations doing impactful work. Making the world better has always been a motivation in her work.

Ivonne holds degrees from Boston University and Baruch College. When she isn't exploring new restaurants, singing, or hanging out with her family, you are sure to find her on the tennis court competing, or just enjoying the game with friends.

About Meme Styles (she/her)

In 2015, Meme Styles founded MEASURE to promote the use of evidence-based projects and tools to tell real-life stories behind the numbers. As a catalyst for systems change, MEASURE has grown to a fully operational nonprofit social enterprise that provides free data support to Black and Brown-led organizations, while charging white-led organizations the full rate of MEASURE’s services to contribute to this anti-racist revenue model.

So far the organization has provided thousands of free data support hours to Black and Brown-led organizations. They are also responsible for strategic partnerships with the University of Texas, Texas Southern University, and more with a goal of disrupting traditional research in exchange for Black and Brown-led lived-experience protocols.

Jameila "Meme" Styles is an AARO Fellow, past-Chairwoman of Miss Juneteenth, Austin Police Chief’s Award of Excellence recipient, Austin 40 under 40 WINNER 2019, past-Chairwoman of African TV5 (AFTV5), and the DivInc Nonprofit Leader of the Year for 2021.

Mrs. Styles holds a Bachelor's of Science in Communications, Masters Of Public Administration with a concentration on National Security, and was certified in Performance Measurement through George Washington University College of Professional Studies. She is also the wife of a US Veteran and the mother of 4.
