About Katie Brennan

Katie Brennan joined the Foundation in 2016 as 2016-2017 Public Service Fellow, during which time she staffed the Cleveland Community Police Commission and assisted on projects within the Foundation. She now serves as a Program Officer with projects focusing on education and youth-related issues.

Katie graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame—where she was a Hesburgh-Yusko Scholar—with a Bachelor’s in Sociology and minors in Irish Studies and Irish Language & Literature. She received a Master’s with Distinction in Conflict Transformation and Social Justice at Queen’s University Belfast in Northern Ireland. Her MA thesis focused on police reform in Cleveland and what could be learned from Northern Ireland’s reform process.

Katie also serves as a teacher in the St. Ignatius/Walsh Jesuit Irish Studies Program and has worked at length with the Arrupe Neighborhood Partnership. Previously she has also served as a research assistant on the Northern Ireland Project at the University of Notre Dame, a 1916 Easter Rising Project at Notre Dame, and with the Cleveland Irish American Archives Society. She also served as an intern on a PBS/BBC documentary about the Irish 1916 Easter Rising.

About Robbin Hudson

Robbin Thornton Hudson serves as the Community Programming Manager for the . In this role she leads strategic efforts to create flourishing communities, sustainable nonprofit organizations, and collaborative community-based efforts.

Robbin has a record of success in philanthropy, education, and community engagement. She has worked with government, nonprofit organizations, foundations and corporations to build programs and services that lift up justice and opportunity. In 2017, Robbin launched Platform & Zenith a corporate and community social responsibility firm. Previously, she served for eight years as Director of Family and Education Initiatives at Neighborhood Leadership Institute.

Robbin serves on the board of New Bridge Center for Arts and Technology Cleveland, is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., National Black MBA Association, and Association of Black Foundation Executives. She is an international leadership trainer for the Cleveland Council on World Affairs. Robbin holds B.A. in Economics from Mount Holyoke College and a Masters of Business Administration from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. She is the proud mother of one daughter, Torah.

About Dan Keenan

Dan became the Executive Director of the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation in August of 2015. Prior to his role with Jennings, he served as superintendent of the Westlake City Schools for seven years. Dr. Keenan’s 21-year tenure in public schools included teaching secondary science and coaching in Indiana and Ohio and serving as an administrator in three different NE Ohio school districts.

He earned a Bachelors in Elementary and Secondary Education and a Masters in Education Administration, with an emphasis in gifted education, both from Purdue University. Dan’s Ph.D. is from Cleveland State University in Urban Education.

In 2002, the American Association of School Administrators recognized Dan with the Paul B. Salmon Award for his doctoral work, one of six nationally. He was the recipient of Cleveland State’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 2012 for his contributions to public education. In 2014 he was honored by the Buckeye Association of School Administrators as Ohio Superintendent of the Year. Philanthropy Ohio recognized Dan in 2020 with the Innovation Award for helping initiate the Ohio Collaborative Fund for Educating Remotely, a partnership involving 25 funders and the Ohio Department of Education, to provide immediate assistance for teaching and learning during the pandemic.

Dan is married to Dr. Heather Keenan, who serves as the gifted coordinator for the North Olmsted City Schools. Together they have two sons and reside in Westlake, Ohio.

About Celeste E. Terry

Celeste Terry is the Director of Grants at the United Black Fund of Greater Cleveland, Inc. (UBF).

She is a graduate of the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, Case Western Reserve University, (MSSA) – (Master’s Degree – Magna cum Laude, 2003), Adjunct Faculty, and Field Instructor at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Sciences (MSASS). She received “Outstanding Field Instructor 2012” Award, and she was inducted into the Hall of Achievement of  MSASS in 2016.

Celeste was inducted into the Shaker Heights High School Alumni Association Hall of Fame, October 13, 2013.
