About
What exactly is an “op-ed” and how can nonprofit leaders or communications professionals utilize one to drive their organization’s mission forward? Op-ed stands for “opposite of the editorial page” and is published by a writer with no affiliation to a publication’s editorial board. Nonprofit leaders can use op-eds to establish expertise in their respective fields and drive change that benefits the constituents they serve.
This virtual training will guide attendees through crafting and writing opinion pieces that can propel their nonprofit’s mission forward. From the initial brainstorm to the finishing touches, this session will give you the best tips and strategies to ensure your voice (and your organization’s mission) is a part of the national conversation. The training will go through five strategies for writing an opinion piece and five steps to placing it.
