Whis the focus on organizations serving boys and men of color? Nearly every major indicator of economic, social, and physical well-being shows that boys and men of color in the U.S. do not have access to the structural supports and opportunities needed to thrive. This results in negative consequences not only for the boys and men themselves, but also for society at large.  Nonprofits addressing achievement among boys and men of color often tackle this complex social issue with tight finances, small teams, and limited opportunities for staff to learn, grow, and regroup from the many demands that are common to the field.

Can I apply if my organization serves girls or women of color? Yes. As long as your organization serves boys and/or men of color as well.

What are the goals of the program?  The Collaboration Circle seeks to develop the capacity of nonprofit leaders to help them leverage their strengths, and sustain their programming even during this unusual time. In fact, Candid recognizes that with recent attention to matters of racial inequity, organizations serving boys and men of color must be prepared to capitalize on the current opportunities for additional funding and support.

What is the focus of this year’s Collaboration Circle?  Candid’s fourth iteration of the Collaboration Circle will emphasize leadership and network building
