Pam Turos and Nic Abraham of Good Cause Creative are the community leaders and co-chairs behind the #GivingTuesdayCLE movement, which has evolved from a grassroots initiative to a community-wide campaign involving 100+ partner organizations. With backgrounds in social work and digital marketing, these “industry outsiders” are challenging nonprofit leaders and development professionals to disrupt the status quo and break through stereotypes when it comes to this annual celebration of generosity.  

By focusing on equity, community, and collaboration over competition, local and global #GivingTuesday campaigns are re-defining how we measure success. Turos sees this as a perfect opportunity for organizations of all types to foster and amplify the work of the next generation of young advocates and allies who will become our future organizers, thought leaders, and movement leaders for a more generous world.   

#GivingTuesdayCLE brought this vision to life in May 2020 during a five-week pandemic induced planning crunch for their successful, youth-led #GivingTuesdayNow campaign. In this webinar, Turos and Abraham will share lessons and insights from this and past campaigns, with a special appearance from a #GivingTuesday convert who admits she did not always see the value of participating in the annual event with her mid-sized, small staff organization.
