The importance of understanding your donor data is well recognized in the social sector, but it can often be challenging to know where to start and understand what your organization has available that would be useful. A certain amount of fluency and comfort with manipulating and exploring data is required in order to ensure the stability and growth of your organization.

During this digital classroom, you will learn how to develop key performance indicators (KPIs) that will help you make strategic decisions about where to devote time, what is resonating about your mission, and where there gaps for reaching your fundraising goals. We will focus on providing a framework to help you move from simply reporting out numbers that describe the past to metrics that provide insights you can take action on. This process will develop the foundation and skills to define and build out leading and lagging KPIs that are connected to your organization.

  • Identify leading and lagging KPIs
  • Draft a framework to develop your organization’s top 5-10 KPIs
