About

This session is part of our full-day convening: Collective Potential: What’s Next for Funding in the Social Sector. To go back to the full agenda, click here

Nonprofits are relied upon to provide services to communities and implement funders' objectives, but the terms of contracts are often dictated by funder restrictions. What would it look like for nonprofits to advocate for full costs to achieve our outcomes? There is a growing movement away from restrictive funding and expense ratio benchmarks like program services ratios as indicators of effectiveness, and a movement towards full cost funding for impact.

This panel will discuss efforts to move towards full cost funding models in New York, and what budgets may look like under a full-cost model.

Panelists:

Chai Jindasurat, Policy Director
Nonprofit New York

Jina Paik, Director, Advisory Services
Nonprofit Finance Fund
