About

Nonprofits have a fiduciary responsibility to ensure that financial resources are effectively used in support of the mission. Nonprofit Board and management are stewards of funds that donors have entrusted them to safeguard and manage. In addition, nonprofits must provide transparent and reliable financial reporting to their donors and other stakeholders. All of that responsibility can be daunting, especially for smaller organizations.

This brown bag lunch and learn includes topics to promote effective financial stewardship and oversight, and tips on how to make it work at your nonprofit organization. The objectives of this workshop are to raise awareness of effective ways to address:

> Fiduciary Roles and Responsibilities

> Financial Policies and Procedures

> Budgeting

> Financial Reporting and Monitoring

> Annual Financial Statement Audit and IRS Form 990 Information Return
