About Juliana Chase-Morefield

Julie Chase-Morefield currently serves as the President & CEO of the Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio.  Under  her leadership Second Harvest increased distribution of food and grocery products by four times; created child hunger initiatives; implemented a new produce distribution model; reached under-served areas through mobile food pantries; and executed a successful $5.1M capital campaign to construct a new 41,000 sq. ft. headquarters for the organization.   She oversees a staff of 23 and nearly 2,700 individual volunteers who donate more than 18,000 hours of time annually.  Second Harvest annual expenses are $11.5M including the value of donated food and grocery products.  Julie has been recognized by Crain's Cleveland Business in "Who to Watch in Nonprofit" profiles and is first recipient of Leadership Lorain County’s Emerald Award for Inspirational Leadership.  She serves as board treasurer for the Ohio Association of Foodbanks and vice-chair of the advisory board for the Development Fund of the Western Reserve.

About Anastasia Diamond-Ortiz

Anastasia Diamond-Ortiz is the Director of Lorain Public Library System. She is focused on helping librarians become more data literate and promoting the use of data to inform strategic thinking and innovation in public libraries. She co-founded and co-captained Open Cleveland, Cleveland’s Code for America brigade, and is interested in promoting open government in Northeast Ohio. She can be found on twitter @anastasia_do.

About Laurel Domanski Diaz

Laurel Domanski Díaz serves as the Program Director at The Nord Family Foundation.  Her primary portfolio is in health and social services.  Ms. Domanski Díaz is a seasoned nonprofit professional with nearly 20 years of program and operations management, project development and fundraising experience in the healthcare and international service organization fields. Her immediate past position was working at the federally qualified health center, Neighborhood Family Practice, in Cleveland, Ohio, where she served as the organization's COO and helped to transform and expand the organization's community impact, service lines and locations. Laurel was named a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Fellow for Healthcare Leadership in 2010. Laurel holds her Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Dayton and her Master of Nonprofit Organizations from Case Western Reserve University. She serves on the Board of the Woodruff Foundation, is a member of the MetroHealth System's Patient Experience Committee of the Board, and volunteers at Urban Community School and Ohio City's Near West Recreation Program.

About David Holmes (he/him)

Dave Holmes is an Educational Programming Manager at Candid, coordinating national trainings and the training and educational programming for the Midwest region. He returned to the Foundation Center (now Candid) in 2015 from a position as Senior Consultant at Grants Plus, writing grants and doing research for a variety of large and small nonprofit clients. In his initial nine-year tenure with Foundation Center, Dave served in various roles including Regional Training Specialist, Interim Director of Foundation Center – Cleveland, and Director of Capacity and Leadership Development.

Earlier in his career, Dave served as a Program Officer for the Stocker Foundation in Lorain, Ohio, and as the Director of Grants and Prospect Research at Notre Dame College in South Euclid, Ohio. He has served on numerous local boards, including the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Greater Cleveland Chapter;  Joel's Place for Children; and Upcycle Parts Shop. He holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh, an MA from Villanova University, and an MLIS from Kent State University.

About Anna Kiss Mauser-Martinez

Anna Kiss Mauser-Martinez is an accomplished public servant who has managed and grown Cleveland’s own City Fresh since 2013. In her role as Program Director she works with half-a-dozen-ish farmers and more than 1500 consumers to bridge the divide between farm and community in a way that targets food-desert neighborhoods and low income individuals.

Anna Kiss, named for the Sex Pistols song, “Anarchy in the UK,” takes seriously her responsibilities as a concerned citizen and actively works for social justice in her many roles. She parents two unschooled teenage boys, runs the show at home while her professor husband Jon Wlasiuk toils in Michigan, and has a habit of volunteering for more things than time or reality allow for. She’s also a fine writer and artist, a self-taught deep thinker and a very vocal advocate for feminism and human rights.
