About
Middle Georgia Regional Library is excited to partner with Foundation Center South to present this two-part, 90-minute workshop! We will open the workshop by presenting the characteristics of effective nonprofits and demonstrating how you can transform your idea for a charitable program or service into a fully-fledged organization. The second part of the workshop will focus on the essential elements for writing effective grant proposals.
The workshop leaders will help you address such commonly asked questions as:
What groundwork do I need to have in place before approaching foundations for funding?
What are the steps to obtaining incorporation and nonprofit status?
What are the characteristics of successful nonprofits?
What are the basic elements of a project proposal?
What are the “do’s” and “don’ts” of writing and submitting a proposal?
How do I follow up on my proposal, whether the answer is yes or no?
At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be encouraged to share successes and challenges they’ve experienced with nonprofit work and grant-seeking.
This event is organized by a Funding Information Network partner.
