About
The arts are an integral part of any civil society. We use the arts to engage communities, spark conversations, explore different viewpoints, and celebrate our humanity. Building community is more important now than ever, yet there are often barriers (real or perceived) to arts participation.
In honor of Arts Month in October, Foundation Center is hosting a gathering at Z Space for the arts community to network, and share strategies and perspectives on fostering engagement in the arts.
What does arts engagement look like on the ground here in the Bay Area? How are local arts organizations fostering community?
In a Lightning talk format, come hear representatives from Z Space, Grants for the Arts, and Rainin Foundation (more to be announced) share their experience and insight around these issues. After the presentations, participants will break out into small groups led by the speakers.
The event concludes with a Happy Hour reception to continue to make connections and build networks.
