About
“What is new in major gifts? What’s shifting? What’s exciting?” asks Solomon Belette, Director of the Sanford Institute of Philanthropy at John F. Kennedy University. At the moment, the air is abuzz with talk of blended gifts, the convergence of major gifts and planned giving. Join us to get abreast of changes such as this and to get inspired toward new fundraising strategies.
At this session of the Lunch and Learn series, hosted by the Sanford Institute of Philanthropy at JFK University, we will hear from a panel of local nonprofit organizations, particularly those that are doing exemplary or innovative work with major gifts. The conversation will be moderated by Jack Alotto, fundraising consultant at the Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership and expert in building major gifts programs. Join us for a bite and to hear what tricks your nonprofit peers have up their sleeves, as well as what new fundraising concepts they are exploring. You’ll leave inspired, informed, and more well-connected to your local fundraising community.
Lunch and Learn with the Sanford Institute of Philanthropy
The Sanford Institute of Philanthropy’s Lunch and Learn series at John F. Kennedy University invites you to come get on a first-name basis with your nonprofit peers while hearing from an expert on a pertinent issue in the field. A light lunch will also be provided!
Each installment of the Lunch and Learn series begins with a half hour of networking followed by an hour-long lecture-style presentation, and finally, Q&A. “The purpose of the series is to help address an issue that nonprofits are challenged with, including fundraising and other issues that have a bearing on overall organizational sustainability,” explains Solomon Belette, Director of the Sanford Institute of Philanthropy. “It’s also designed to create and build community among folks working in the social sector.”
This event is organized by a Funding Information Network partner.
