About

How to know where you are, not just what you do!

If you are looking only at the total bottom line, you are missing a lot of the story of what your organization’s financial statement is telling you. This workshop will show you how to interpret financial information to determine the health of your nonprofit. You will learn how to take your organization’s vitals as we discuss liquidity, profitability, and solvency as it relates to your financial statements. Understanding the numbers on the pages will give you a more accurate pulse of your organization. Has your nonprofit had a financial check-up lately?

This session is being facilitated by Nancy E. Kelly, CPA, MST, CFE, RN. Nancy Kelly is the Co-Managing Partner and founder of DavisKelly, LLC, a certified public accounting firm that specializes in not-for-profit auditing and assurance. With over 20 years of experience in the field, Nancy is frequently asked to speak at conferences and conduct training sessions for the nonprofit community. She was an adjunct professor at NYU teaching Not-For-Profit Financial Management. Prior to her career in accounting, Nancy spent 7 years as a registered nurse in the operating room at a Boston hospital.
