This grant proposal contains a request for salary support, so that the clinical and advocacy staff can visit the homes of immigrant families with children that have reported domestic violence. It contains a letter of endorsement from Yale University's School of Medicine's Associate Director, and it features a funder application form.
Comments from Mary Quinn, Senior Operations Manager, the Avon Foundation, from The Grantseeker's Guide to Winning Proposals:
As a whole, the proposal demonstrated both the need and the effectiveness of their program. Therefore, the organization's statement that "funding is needed to maintain essential services at this time due to recent cuts in federal funding" was sufficient to convey need. The strongest feature of the proposal was the description of the far-reaching effect of the program to provide security for both a family's physical environment and emotional environment, rather than one over the other.
