The proposal had all the components we expect to see. One important component was the history; even though we have funded this organization in the past, they did not assume that all readers would retain the information from the previous proposal. The background was especially helpful to our newer trustees who were not on the board at the time of the previous grants; but it was also helpful to trustees who might not remember earlier proposals. This is important to us since our trustees are geographically dispersed and are not familiar with all the applicants.
