Nonprofit fundraising professionals, this month’s for you! We have great programming coming up, and I hope that this guide will help you make the most of it.
For starters, we are kicking off the month with a great in-person program out of our Washington, DC office, called Seven Habits of a Kick-A$$ Development Director. Led by Maureen Devine-Ahl, from MK Fundraising Solutions, this session will look at the the seven habits highly effective directors possess, core components of each, and simple strategies for implementation. This is a great session for anyone who aspires to be a development director, is one, or needs to hire or supervise one. On the 29th of March, our Atlanta-based office will launch the Emerging Development Professionals Leadership Circle. This is a monthly peer group meeting for new development professionals from small nonprofit organizations to share challenges and strategies for personal and organizational success. In an informal, roundtable format, participants will have the opportunity to share their insights, gain practical solutions, and alleviate any on-the-job isolation or stress that they might experience. Finally, for those of you that are looking to hone your proposal writing skills, we will be offering three Proposal Writing Boot Camps this month across the country in San Francisco, CA; Cleveland, OH; and Washington, DC. Learn more about our boot camps here.
For nonprofit professionals that want to expand their skills beyond fundraising, we have excellent programming being offered via our digital classroom. From talent recruitment and retention to financial surpluses and from impact measurement to leveraging your GuideStar profile to improve your image in the philanthropic community, we are covering all of your bases.
And when you’re done putting your organization in order and saving the world, don’t forget to refuel the fire! To help you out, we have partnered with Rhiza Collective on a live, online training on March 26 to help you cultivate resilience-based practices in your own lives and in your organizations to create a culture of sustainable activism.
At Candid, we understand the challenges of nonprofit and social justice work, and we want you to know that we’re here to bring you the resources you need to make the world better. From skill building to refueling, we’ve got your back!
